John Sparks driving Mars and Mercury pass the Royal Family at the Tribute & Promise procession in the Mall. August 19th / 20th 1995

On the warm weekend of the 19th and 20th of August 1995, Great Britain, the Commonwealth and our Allies from the Second World War came together to commemorate the 50th anniversary of VJ Day and pay tribute to those members of the armed forces and the civilian community who were involved.

Dave Underwood , Ray Chalesworth and my self had the privilege of appearing in the parade down the Mail pass the Royal family.

The picture below shows me driving Mars and Mercury pass them with Lady Diana in the white hat and Prince Charles on the right of her and Prince Edward on the left of her.
